Mudcloth or "bogolan" fabric from Mali is a traditionally made cloth is created by weaving fabric on a loom and dying it with natural dyes or mud. The thin strips of material are then painted with tribal designs and patterns by the women of Bamako, Mali and sewn together to create scarves and blankets.
