Time to say goodbye

Time to say goodbye
Dearest Lost Little One Community,
Unfortunately what makes Lost Little One so special is also the reason I can no longer continue to create our beautiful leather bags. My commitment to sustainability and ethical practices makes it literally impossible to compete in the current online marketplace. I simply can't keep up with the fast fashion world and all the big brands who proudly share our ethos, but not our procedures.
As you know LLO is truly slow fashion and literally nothing about our making is fast. I've always been so proud of the way my designs come to fruition and my unwillingness to change that has left me with no choice but to ride this wave out on a high.
Sadly in order to keep up with all the big brands out there I need to sell more. Selling more means that I would have a higher budget to spend on ads and a higher budget would give me a chance of getting seen in the online world.
But… my business module doesn’t allow for more and neither do my core values. I’ve always been clear about my intentions. I’m here to make less, make it beautiful, make it last.
And this is where my unwillingness to change has forced me to make the decision to say goodbye. Like many other small businesses out there Lost Little One is getting lost in the void of platforms such as Instagram and we’re seeing so many truly sustainable businesses forced to take a break and reassess our processes.
So it's with a very full heart that I'd like to say thank you!
After 8 incredible years I'd like to thank this humble little community that I’ve worked so hard to create. Thank you to all the people who have supported me over the years. My amazing friends and family who have gone on this journey with me. You’ve literally been the models, photographers, videographers and content writers. You’ve packed my orders for me, flew to Morocco with me and basked in the African sun all in the name of LLO and I’m forever grateful for your ongoing love and support.
And to my beautiful customers who's names I see pop up time and time again. It's your return business and ongoing support that has helped me work on my passion for so many years and for that I am truly grateful. You've all given me the ability to live my version of 'the dream'.
Thank you,
Love Dominique
